Post 5: C.R.A.P. Test

After analyzing the article, one of the C.R.A.P. references I notice in my blog ''psychology today'' that reliability is the main factor being used in psychology today. With psychology something or someone is being relied on. Rather your seeking help from a therapist or relying on yourself to help your mental health.    For example, if a friend has been ringing you every day to tell you how miserable they are, won't try things that are likely to help their mood, and never asks about your day, you might need to figure out how you can set some limits and expectations without withdrawing your support. Doing this in the right way is likely to benefit both of you.

  1. I really can relate with your example you presented in your blog post! Setting boundaries when it comes to situations like that most definitely in my personal opinion helps not only that friend but yourself as well. Both parties involved deserve that!

  2. It's definitely a difficult position for both people, but it's obviously not fair to your friends to constantly unload on them. You have to, at times, take it upon yourself to find ways of self-help or professional help, you can't always rely on someone else to dig you out of depression. I'm glad there are professionals out there that study the best ways to help patients.
